As a freelance traveling photographer and independent documentary filmmaker, Ábel Krulik has a wide range of visual interests. He started to develop his first black-and-white photographs in the darkroom of the ever-changing, rebuilding downtown Budapest, later he obtained his Master of Arts degree in photography from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art in Budapest. After graduating, he first moved to Leipzig, later from 2015 onward to Southeast Asia, where he has traveled more than 100,000 kilometers since then, mostly by motorcycle. In recent years, photography has been a personal diary for him, a tool to both be present and out of the moment.His photographs and motion pictures have been exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in many countries. While being after the long journey and preparing for the next one, he currently divides his time between his native Hungary and Indonesia.
